The S2500 is Fuji's top bridge model for 2010 -- a big 18x zoom that shoots HD video. Though it's not as slim as some other extended-zoom cameras from competing manufacturers, Fuji does have a good reputation with this genre. S2500 has a huge zoom at a great price. The only difference we can discern between this model and the slightly cheaper S1800 is that this one has an HDMI output--if displaying your HD videos on a TV matters to you, this is worth the extra money.

The Fujifilm S2500HD is a megazoom camera with an 18x optical zoom lens & HD movie recording. Offering full compatibility with HDTV television systems for both still pictures and movies. The new FinePix digital camera captures HD videos (at 1280x720 pixels/720p) & its output allows the camera to display high definition photographs & movies on HDTV.
